Family Counselling
In my over 30 years as a family therapist, I have worked with a broad range of families, first in Children’s Mental Health Centres, and later, in private practice. Many of the challenges that arise in families result from difficulties in understanding one another, adjusting to new life stages, or problems with communication. I have worked extensively with those who are experiencing struggles due to family transitions, separation and loss, and violence and abuse.
I meet with families who have young children and adolescents, as well as those with adult children. Our work together will involve guidance and feedback from me, with you trying out different ways of relating to one another. The focus will be on assisting you and your family gain useful skills and acquiring strategies to support healthy family functioning.
